UK government backs Big Tax Return

The UK says it wants companies to declare their profits and tax bills in all countries in which they operate.

It's brilliant news, and it's thanks to you!

We asked you to email your MPs, urging the government to move for country-by-country reporting as a means of clawing back the billions of dollars poor countries lose every year through tax dodging.

And that's what Stephen Timms, financial secretary to the Treasury, has said he will be calling for at a G20 meeting in Berlin this week.

Thanks to everyone who contacted their MPs about tax dodging. It has strengthened our case as we call for action from the Big Four accounting firms.
